Before taking it apart

During installation

Support the hub and control arm—never let them hang from hoses or wiringProtect the brake hose and wheel-speed sensor wireMatch the spring ends to their seatsTransfer every washer and spacer in the correct orderKeep left- and right-side parts organizedStart all fasteners by handTorque hardware to the correct vehicle-specific specificationTighten rubber-bushed mounts at normal ride height where requiredMark completed fasteners with a paint penCheck that each spring is seated before lowering the car
